Five Best Breaking Bad Music Moments

Breaking Bad is back in full swing for its final eight episodes, and two episodes in, I can’t get my mind off the show. Beyond the brilliant acting, cinematography, and incredible story, music supervisor Thomas Golubić has crafted some of the greatest TV music moments of all-time. So as a way to talk more Breaking Bad (without having to watch Talking Bad) and to give the show’s music its proper due, here are five of my favorite songs/music moments from Breaking Bad. Also, let this serve as a SPOILER ALERT: I may spoil a thing or two if you haven’t seen the show at this point.

Weak List Wednesday: Top 5 TV Shows of 2011

I think I like my programs a little more than Wes and Todd, so it is fitting that I should write this up. It was a pretty good year in television overall, but there were some disappointments. True Blood followed 10 different storylines at the same time and couldn’t keep it all together. Dexter fell apart in the second half. Walking Dead trashed an opportunity with a lackluster second season. And Californication started to jump off the rails in a really bad way. But all in all, I can’t complain. Here ya go.

LxListening: The Inaugural

Norah Jones, Danger Mouse, Daniele Luppi, Rome, Black, Spaghetti Western

Six weeks into LxL, things are still changing and adapting. Our little website is going through puberty if you will. Growing hair in strange  places, and waking up with a wet spot in its shortpants. Today, we would like to offer up the first installment of LxListening, where one of us will basically provide a quick snapshot of what we are currently listening to. This is really just an opportunity for us to talk half-assedly about a bunch of things, instead of focus on one thing like grown-ups.  Also, while things may change a little bit with this section, we will probably try to have 4 somewhat current picks (within the past year or so), and 1 older pick(several years old at least).
