The 10 Best Artists from the Norse Country

asterix-and-vikings (1)

In honor of  another album from outer-space from Icelandic space diva, Bjork, we figured it would be appropriate to list our top ten artists from Scandinavia, the land of the vikings, icebergs, and socialism. Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Iceland: we are looking at you. And while we didn’t have the cajones to put ABBA on the list (we aren’t that comfortable with our sexuality), here are ten artists totally worth a musical voyage.

Editor’s Note: This post originally published in 2012.

Yes, this is the same exact list we posted last year, but we were happy enough with it that we would like to remind everyone of our greatness.  Don’t worry though, look for a completely fresh fall-themed list this afternoon, but for now LxL would like to share what albums put us in that apple cider, leaves off trees, pumpkin picking/carving/eating, and brisk fresh air type of mood.

Lollapalooza Lineup Breakdown/Festival Precap

Well the last lineup of the years major festivals was announced this week, and boy is it a doozy. Lollapalooza in recent years has become somewhat of a stink-fest, hosting acts such headliners as Lady Gaga, Foo Fighters, and Coldplay. Nonetheless, this year they pulled it together and spat out quite a spectacular lineup. Let’s break it down:
